Feelin' Good Mileage Club

Looking for a fun, effective way to help your obese students lose weight? Try the Feelin' Good Mileage Club, offered free by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan to all Fitness for Youth schools.

The concept of this turnkey program is simple. Students walk or run laps around the school grounds or track two to three days a week, recording their progress with Mile Marker Cards.

You shouldn't have any problems finding students to participate in the Mileage Club. Colorful little feet called Toe Tokens and other fun prizes get (and keep) kids excited about the program.

The Mileage Club will help more than just your overweight students, too. Schools from around the country have found that the program increases children’s physical fitness levels, reduces playground hassles and even helps prepare students to learn.
